It'll be great to return with Rest Stop to the festival who mentored us and got our journey started in the first place and a great place to continue Fan Girl's festival run. Full details below.

Valentine at Londonist screening before Suffragette
Delighted that the Londonist picked my short Valentine to screen before the fantastic feature film Suffragette directed by Sarah Gavron and written by Abi Morgan.
The Londonist had featured Valentine on International Women's Day last year so was very excited they asked us to come back again for this sold-out screening at the Underground Cinema Club by Waterloo. Camille (of Birthday Girls) and I attended to represent the Valentine team.
Here is a picture of Valentine from behind the projection screen which I grabbed.

Rest Stop to screen at Praxis Film Festival
Fan Girl Double-Feature in ImWithGeek
Super delighted that following on from her lovely review of Fan Girl, after attending our private screening in November last year, Sarah Cook has featured Fan Girl again in the build-up to our World Premiere with London Short Film Festival.
She interviewed the writers and I, full interviews at the links below.
My interview took place when I was sleep deprived after finishing my feature script. I talk about a Homebase fantasy at one point because we all have those.
Sell-out screenings for both Fan Girl and Rest Stop at LSFF
We came. We saw. We took a free beer token.
Thanks so much to everyone who came to support Fan Girl in Funny Sh*t at LSFF's Opening Night Comedy programme and everyone who to see "Rest Stop" Femmes Fantastiques, particularly the women in the latter who cried/laughed/gasped in every short. You were the best!
Shout-out to the awesome films in both programmes! Favourites were Eva Riley's Video in Femmes Fantastiques and from Funny Sh*t, Mr Mandila by Rory Waudby-Tolley and the brilliant, BRILLIANT Oh-Be-Joyful, written by and starring Kayleigh Llewellyn.

Rest Stop featured by the BFI as "One to try at LSFF" by Dylan Cave
Absolutely thrilled that the lovely team at the BFI have picked out Rest Stop as a short to see at this years London Short Film Festival.
"Writers Kate Herron and Monica Heisey delight in the contrast between their chirpy but gauche backpacker and the mundane snooze-fest of the dimly lit rest-stop. A sharply written comedy two-hander." - Dylan Cave, BFI
